Production time is around 4 months from the end of the GMTO period, which is Nov. 9th. GMTOs are not refundable or exchangeable.

The Colville boot is our new strap boot, designed with tough weather in mind. Sitting on a rugged double Commando sole, it features a handstitched Norwegian split toe, a leather strap to enclose the upper laces, and brass hardware throughout. It's about as tough a boot as you'll find, all while still looking killer with your favorite suit.

The tan soft grain imbues this pair with a classic English country feeling, while the soft-chisel LPB last on which it sits gives it a semi-sharpened, urban silhouette. Whether you're facing snow-covered steps or snow-covered steppes, you'll be well prepared with a pair of these at hand.

Welcome to the GMTO / Crowdfund page. Please read everything carefully before making your purchase

GMTO means 'Group Made to Order'. And what that means is that we try to amass at least 6 orders of a particular model in order to meet minimum production requirements (i.e. crowdfund) and thus be able to waive the Made to Order fee and only charge you as a production model.

However, as we are making only the select amounts purchased, this means that a GMTO shoe/boot acts as an MTO since it is made specifically for you. As it is not standard production it needs to be produced after the fact (i.e. purchased and order made) and is therefore not returnable nor is it exchangeable.

All GMTO's take approximately 4 months to make. This can vary due to leather availability. This time frame commences after the GMTO period has ended. This will be the first day after the GMTO period ends. For example, if the GMTO period started March 2nd and ends March 31st and you paid on the 3rd, the 4 month wait starts on April 1st.

For those of you who made deposits, please note that this is 50% of the full retail price and the balance (of the full retail price) will be due before receiving the goods. We offer a 10% discount to those that pay upfront. If you take the deposit route, this discount is forfeit.

Assuming the GMTO goes into production the pair you purchase will be non-exchangeable nor will it be refundable. This is an exclusive pair made just for you and the others that purchased specific sizes. If the GMTO does not reach its minimum order required to make production, we shall refund the money you paid.

    • Last LPB
    • Soft Grain Calf, Tannery Du Puy (France)
    • Double Commando Sole
    • Hand-Lasted Waist
    • Leatherboard Heel Stiffeners
    • Goodyear Welted
    • Fully Leather Lined
    • Made in Spain

The LPB is our soft chisel last. It is a softened variant of the classic MGF chisel last, with the smoother lines of LPB offering a more conservative and versatile profile.

The LPB is a generous fitting last, making it a good choice for those with broad feet.

    • Generous fit all around
    • Very generous forefoot
    • Voluminous instep
    • Labeled as UK 'E' width (US 'D' equivalent). However, it fits more like a UK 'EX' width (or US 'E' width)
    • Elongated last shape

Keep the same size in what you wear from:

    • Magnanni
    • To Boot New York
    • Loake Capital Last
    • Cheaney F Width
    • The generous Alden lasts (take one size down, e.g., a US10 from Alden is a UK9 in our LPB)

J.FitzPatrick shoes have a broad set of fit options, from true to size, on the slim side to more wide. It will be important to make sure you read about the specific last that you are looking to purchase.

One thing to note across the board is that our loafers have been cut on the snug side, compared to the rest of the models. We did this so that you do not need to 'size down' when going for a loafer, rather recommending you stick to your oxford size (**read exception below)

Here are a few general rules

    • Our insteps would be considered generous
    • All shoes with 6 eyelets will be even more generous in the instep
    • Any model in full suede will feel more generous to its leather counterpart
    • The boots have a forgiving instep in order for you to put them on easily
    • Any monkstrap made on the MGF or LPB will feel more generous to its oxford counterpart
    • If you wear your oxfords very snug, then size up for your loafers. However, for most we recommend taking the same size as your oxfords

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

All International Orders are shipped from NYC using DHL, UPS or USPS. We will use the service that offers us the best rate. If you prefer one over the other and the one that you prefer is significantly more expensive then we will ask that you pay the difference between the best rate and the rate your preferred courier offers.

If you prefer another courier, such as UPS, USPS or FedEx and wish to pay the difference (if the one you want is more than the rate we pay to DHL), please indicate this in the notes section of your order. Any failure to do so, will result us using the DHL service. Before sending your parcel, we will send an invoice to cover the difference in pricing (should there by any).

We do not control this and will not be held responsible for any surprises in charges as we do not impose them. Your government does. We declare the parcel at the value paid. We do no under-declare parcel values. Please do not ask us to do so.

Please note, if you reject your order for not wanting to pay the custom's import taxation, we will be charged a fee for the return shipping. This fee will come out of your refund as we will are not liable for this charge due to your error in ordering.

For Remote Labeled Areas a surcharge of the price difference between what we normally pay and what they are quoting will be required to make shipment.

We look to ship out all purchases 1-2 working days after the time of purchase (weekends not included). During "Sale" periods we aim to ship between 2 -4 days after the time of purchase as the increase in orders affects our ability to be any quicker.

For a general guide on shipping cost, please refer to our shipping chart below.

We ensure each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes on to the customer. If you are not the receiver of your purchase (for example a gift order) then the person who signs for the package confirms receipt and is accountable for the package.

Orders shipped with different billing/shipping addresses will be scrutinized by our Anti-Fraud system. Of course we understand if one wants to ship to their work address. And we reserve the right to cancel any order that has been deemed fraudulent by our system.
