J.FitzPatrick Footwear - GMTO
Highland - Blue Patina GMTO - 50% Deposit
Welcome to the Highland Blue Patina GMTO!
The Highland is a wholecut chelsea boot with a heart medallion adorning the toebox, and "coke bottle" gore adding another elegant detail to its subtle style. But forget subtle! Our Highland GMTOs are another step in our partnership with patina artist Hancore, who has created five bold "reverse patina" options to choose from. Each style features burnishing that is darkest towards the boot's shaft, for an aggressive effect where the patina's color is most obvious at the toes.
This Blue Patina is a deep, strong color, creating a boot that will undeniably make for aggressive color pairings, but will become more subtle after dark, or under artificial light.
Production time on these pairs is around 4 months from the end of the GMTO order period, which will be the 1st of December; you can expect your pairs to be ready to be shipped to you in mid Spring.
The price listed is a 50% deposit on the total price of $595, with the remaining balance and any shipping costs due upon completion of your pairs. Like our previous patina GMTOs, this one includes a lot of savings: To order just one boot like this would cost a total of $855: The model's base price ($545) plus a boot MTO fee ($150) plus a boot patina ($160). So you're looking at savings of $260! All GMTO pairs will ship free to the domestic US. For shipping rates outside of the US, see our shipping page here.
Unlike most GMTO orders, the Highland boots do not need to individually meet our 6-pair minimum for production, as all pairs will be made in crust leather. As such, there is no question that your color choice will go into production!

J.FitzPatrick shoes have a broad set of fit options, from true to size, on the slim side to more wide. It will be important to make sure you read about the specific last that you are looking to purchase.
One thing to note across the board is that our loafers have been cut on the snug side, compared to the rest of the models. We did this so that you do not need to 'size down' when going for a loafer, rather recommending you stick to your oxford size (**read exception below)
Here are a few general rules
- Our insteps would be considered generous
- All shoes with 6 eyelets will be even more generous in the instep
- Any model in full suede will feel more generous to its leather counterpart
- The boots have a forgiving instep in order for you to put them on easily
- Any monkstrap made on the MGF or LPB will feel more generous to its oxford counterpart
- If you wear your oxfords very snug, then size up for your loafers. However, for most we recommend taking the same size as your oxfords
