I was hesitant to leave a review as the line and shoe it seems is being discontinued. But after thinking on it I believe it deserves to be seen. I love this shoe. It is classic that will never go out of style but done in a very pleasing way. The first thing that caught my attention was the last shape. The toe box, the apron on top and the sculpted waist that offers nice arch support. I remember that Justin mentioned that his lasts were fashioned after his bespoke G&G last. It is very evident looking at this shoe. I will enjoy it for years to come I'm sure. I am very pleased to know that I was able to have a little bit of history from the brand before it is gone for good. Thank you Justin and look forward to seeing what you have in store for us in the future.

The MGF last is a real masterpiece. No other company produces such unique shoes. The Woodland looks even more beautiful in real life than it does in the photos. This company must not leave the business under any circumstances!
Got this shoe several months after ordering and made the mistake of taking it to a conference. I have blisters on my feet for the first time in my life and all bony prominences on my foot have abrasions. It’s so uncomfortable and painful to wear and walk in.
Justin knows I don't wear sneakers....

Last shape: sexy, refined, love how it looks and accentuates my feet.
Leather quality: very good, feel, glean, and bend of it is nice. No flaws on my pair at all. Qc seems very good and thorough.
Construction: not well-versed in construction but from the eye test, goodyear construction looks great. Little details paid attention to. Looks on par to some of my more expensive shoes. These look to be from my assessment a shoe that will last at least a couple of decades with proper wearings (im in a fair weather city and usually in office), proper maintenance, and within a rotation (at most, twice wearings a week. Ideally, once a week).
Comfort: very comfortable. Sizing and fit is perfect. Not all loafers start out comfortable they cause abrasions and blisters on my feet many times in beginning. Not here. For my correct size, this last hugs my feet in all the right areas. I can tell the make of the shoe has experience in how shoes should wear and fit while walking/flexing. Some makers out there absolutely do not know how a shoe should feel (Hugo boss, Cole Haan, To Boot, etc..some allen edmonds as well.. and they cost similar if not more than these shoes.
X factor: although fit/comfort, leather quality, shape elegance (and to a lesser degree construction) are top criteria for me, there has to be that certain "pop" or draw to the shoe for me. A certain appeal. Perhaps sex appeal. Aesthetic visual and overall how it compliments my body or me as a whole. That x factor has to be there (some shoes check off all the above criteria, however will sit in my closet collecting dust) and these shoes are kind of that "easy grab" or "dumb reach" when I want to go out. These really pop. They are visually stunning. But not too stunning where they stand out awkwardly. They compliment. It's a perfect loafer to wear let say an electric nite out w friends at a posh vegas hotel or something. Where I don't mind getting looks or feedback from people (whether voiced or nuanced feedback) ... I don't wear these everyday to work. It isn't that type of loafer.

Just perfect. Justin was very helpful in making sure I got the right size. Im a 10.5 brannock and got a 10.5 and fit perfect. No break in period at all, wore them on the first day for over 12 hours. Love these! Suprisingly the sole has some grip. Cant wait to get a couple extra balmoral boots from here. Hopefully an all leather model comes out soon - love this suede/leather combo though!

I use these for all my JFitzpatrick shoes and bring one in my checked luggage when I travel. They are even light enough to pack in carryon bags in a pinch.

Very nice, natural materials, ideal for travelling.
Easy to get in and out and they aren’t stiff. They do their job.
Outstanding pair — unique and genuinely versatile. The photos don’t do it justice: the wholecut upper has a smooth, uninterrupted silhouette, the apron stitching adds real depth up front, and the counter stitching is clean and precise. This is probably going to be my go-to for casual fits.
