I also love the Puget. There is no better value for money on the market than the JF-Line. Stability, class, the beauty of the lasts as well as the leather and comfort at a price that working people can afford. This was my second Puget and the third is already on its way to me. My rotation currently consists of Wenatchee, Puget and Samamish - all in Sangria. At least twelve hours a day. I can't get enough of this rich and varied colour.
While not as striking as the Brass coloured Triumph Toe Taps, The standards do the same job and at a competitive price. The third party which does the actual fit does a great job with clean cuts and level soles and taps. Having recently undertaken to fit some of my own shoes with Toe Taps, I appreciate the care one has to take to achieve the flawless finish achieved.
I would say that to protect the sole at a point of heavy wear, Toe Taps would prove worth the extra cost given the potential cost of having a partial sole repair at a later date.
Fit, comfort and style all in one shoe...well done JFitzpatrick!
Big fan, such that i already ordered in another color.
I saw these in the nyc storefront and have been wanting to find the perfect moment to treat my boyfriend. These shoes are gorgeous and the packaging is extremely thoughtful. Someone from the team responded back to me at 9 pm on a Sunday and helped me with his size. Thank you to the team!
Pluses: Like the carved out area underneath to let the sole breath! Love the red look with the black knob. Good fit and quality wood and finish. Easy to use and gentle on the shoe when inserting them, which is important.
Minuses: Mid quality on the metal connecting pieces (cheapens the feel a bit). A tad pricey when adding to the cost of the shoe. Doesn't fit perfectly the LPB last with lack of support past the instep in some areas on the front. Though it is to be expected they can't be custom to each shoe model at this price. Sizing is a little confusing if purchasing individually, which I haven't yet.
Conclusion: In all honesty, well worth the purchase overall !
I wasn't necessarily looking for this color. Was hoping to get more of a contracted tan. But I was eyeing on the Pullman for a while. Comfortable right out of the box. Love the heal shape and matching brown leather color. What I find special about the Pullman is that this minimalist, not boringly classic and very elegant design also helps control where the leather folds which isn't easy to do on some other styles. Love the triple stitch touch. I wish the museum calf could be a little more contrasted but the shoes are beautiful.
I did ran into a small fabrication QC issue that went thought the cracks with the leather tanning on a spot at the toe. J.f. came to the rescue and went beyond your average service to fix it. I could have exchange them but wanted to keep them. They look fantastic now.
Black Forces could never. Have em in two colors. Great daily driver casual sneaker that dresses up well too.
Excellent shoe. Silhouette is excellent and works with a variety of looks. And the customer service was fantastic all the way through. I had a sizing question and the response was prompt even with how busy they are. Cheers Justin & Team!
Outstanding shoes, amazing fit, great price and service. Highly recommended!
This is my 3rd pair of Justin Fitzpatrick shoes (4th of you count the Carmina collab from last summer.) this time I went for the blue butterfly loafers and they are gorgeous. I also got the opportunity to meet Justin when I was in NYC last fall and he is a wonderful person to talk to as well. Great products, unique designs, exceptional quality, and a wonderful human being. You can’t ask for anything more. Proud to support this small business.
Great and beautiful shoes in the usual high quality I came to expect from J. Fitzpatrick. Excellent service as well including a fast tracked installation of toe taps.
Mr. FitzPatrick hit it out the park with the Phillips. This is an elegant AND playful shoe that provides a casual sophistication in almost any setting. The sizing is absolute perfect and the fit and feel is as close to bespoke without being actually bespoke that I've encountered in a shoe at this price point. The Phillips has become my go-to shoe for sunny day perambulations. I heartily recommend this shoe!
I have JFP shoes and boots from a few years ago, and they are great. This pair, however, has very bad creasing on the upper. The right shoe has the worst creases among all the shoes I own. (I have over five hundred pairs of leather shoes. Addiction. I know.)
I wish I could upload a photo of it. It looks like kraft paper! Was it just me who got a lemon? Or has JFP reduced its leather quality? Quite disappointed.
Hey Ziyao, sorry that the leather on your pair was less than your expectation, or even far from it. Nothing has changed on our end but a lot has changed at the tanneries. We still purchase the same leather (according to our factory) but to maintain our prices then all of the hide needs to be used, even the less desirable parts. If we use the same leather as a brand that sells for double our price, part of what separates them from us is their ability to create wastage by only cutting 50%-75% of the hide. I hope that makes sense, and while it is not an excuse it is simply the reality of the leather/shoe industry. Sadly not every pair can be 100% grade 1 leather. If we did that it would raise our prices significantly, to nearly double.
I am sorry for your disappointment. If you email us we can somehow sort it out for you.
When I saw this shoe was on sale I had to jump in it. I was a little nervous purchasing from the JF line as all my past purchases were from the J Fitzpatrick line. With other brands there’s a big drop
-off between the primer and mainstay lines but NOT with this brand . The suede is top tier, craftsmanship is high quality and the overall balance of the shoe is unexplainable. It’s just a thing of beauty. I have many other brands in my collection ( Crockett Jones, Alden ,Carmina & TLB Mallorca) but I keep finding myself coming back to JFitzpatrick. Can’t wait for the next one!
This was now my third pair of Wenatchees. The last is beautiful and perfect for my foot.
The Sangria leather is Justin's stroke of genius in my opinion - an absolutely stunning colour!
I'm wearing it almost exclusively at the moment.
I alternate between Puget in Sangria and Wenatchee in Sangria 😊😍👞. There's no question that I'm the best dressed man in my little town.
Guys, you can't go wrong with the JF line. Stability, beauty and comfort are simply unbeatable for the price. I know what I'm talking about because I wear my shoes from the JF line between 10 and 14 hours a day at work. I am self-employed and run a delicatessen shop. A lot of work, walking and standing all day. Thanks to Mr Fitzpatrick's shoes, I love my job and the hard daily work even more. At least once an hour I take a deep breath and take a quick look at my Sangria leather while a satisfied smile crosses my face. Highly recommended and worth supporting!!!
these shoes look and feel great. Really high quality work from J Fitzpatrick, but I have to say, they’re impossible to put on. The buttons do not close, and the fact that you need a shoe hook to put them, makes me sad looking at them. Don’t get me wrong, i love the way they look, and my wife loves them.
It’s impossible to do on the buttons without shoe hooks, which is ridiculous it its own right. Great shoe though once theyre done up, but until then, ill just look at them for a while.
The quality of the shoe exceeded my expectations! The color, style and workmanship is impressive and quite unique at this price point!
Impressive craftsmanship ; elegant , wonderful color , superbly comfortable
Perfection. If you do not understand what it is like to receive quality like this at this price point, reconsider, please. Justin is the man and when you wear your pair you are the man.
