Note From The Founder

The Eskapa was born from my appreciation for French design sensibilities. I felt that many tassel loafers on the market looked quite similar, and I wanted to create a version that stood apart. Taking inspiration from French shoe design, I incorporated a longer, more pointed vamp and tongue extension, giving it a distinct French Renaissance feel.

To further emphasize our "Only at J.FitzPatrick" concept for this model, we gave it a unique color with our reddish-brown Walnut Marble Patina. My aim was to create something truly distinctive that you wouldn't find elsewhere, and that is precisely what the Eskapa tassel loafer offers.

Tassel Loafer

Tassel loafers are both playful and handsome, offering the options of being dressed up or down. A hand-stitched apron detail and finely chiseled last ensure that these loafers look modern and elegant.

LPB Last

The LPB is our soft chisel last. It is a softened variant of the classic MGF chisel last, with the smoother lines of LPB offering a more conservative and versatile profile.
The LPB is a generous fitting last, making it a good choice for those with broad feet.

-Labeled as UK 'E' width (US 'D' equivalent). However, being generous it is closer to a US D/E fit, falling between the two.

Leather Sole (Closed Channel)

Single leather soles are our most handsome sole option. A subtle profile combines with tastefully pitched heels, beveled waists, and closed-channel stitching to ensure an elegant look, while seven brass nails in the toe improve longevity.

size guidance

As a standard rule for our loafers, we cut them more snugly compared to our laced shoes in the same size.

The Eskapa is one of our generous fitting loafers, similar in fit to other loafers with elongated chisel lasts. If you have slender, low-instep feet, take a half-size down. For those that wear their laced shoes standard size, to a snug fit, stick with the same size. If you have wide feet and/or high instep, take a half size up to your standard size.
