Alki - Dark Brown Marble Patina

$460.00 $575.00

Our Alki chelsea was designed with versatility in mind. Chelseas are often worn casually, and we're big fans of finishing off a pair of jeans with a fine boot--but we wanted to create a chelsea that could also be dressed up. The slender almond-round last and trim silhouette of the Alki results in a refined boot that can be effortlessly paired with dress trousers while remaining an easy choice for your less formal days.

The Alki features a wholecut pattern, meaning that the entire boot is constructed from a single piece of leather. This is is a challenging and costly--and therefore very rare--method of construction. It ensures the highest level of comfort and quality, and the resulting pattern, uninterrupted by side seams, makes for a boot just that much more handsome than your standard chelsea style.

If you've seen our Alki in the past, this new boot is on a completely different level. It now enjoys a tastefully pitched heel, a longer beveled "waist," and tighter stitching density around the welt. At J.FitzPatrick we're all about the details, and even this seemingly simple chelsea boot is no exception: Note the "coke bottle" shaped elastic sides!

The dark brown marble patina boot seen here sits on a double leather sole, making for an easy-wearing style. The marble patina finish shines through in bright, natural light, while remaining a versatile brown.

      Last NGT
      European Crust Calf
      Hand-Lasted Waist
      Double Leather Flex Sole
      Leather Board heel stiffeners
      Goodyear Welted

The NGT is our smart-round last. Its slender silhouette and elongated toe box result in a classic, elegant style.
The NGT is one our more refined fitting lasts, and is therefore more suited for narrow to medium width feet:
      -Narrower/shallower forefoot
-Less voluminous (but not “low”) instep
      -Hugging arch area
      -Elongated shape
      -Not good for wide feet
-Fits more generously on boots than on shoes

      Length: Elongated
      Width: Fitted
      Instep: Standard
      Toe Box: Shallow
      Last shape: Almond round

Please note: Leather is a natural product. We take images of each shoe in all types of light to show you how the color varies. If you want a very specific color, it is best you ask us for an image of the size you wish to purchase, prior to purchasing.

J.FitzPatrick shoes have a broad set of fit options, from true to size, on the slim side to more wide. It will be important to make sure you read about the specific last that you are looking to purchase.

One thing to note across the board is that our loafers have been cut on the snug side, compared to the rest of the models. We did this so that you do not need to 'size down' when going for a loafer, rather recommending you stick to your oxford size (**read exception below)

Here are a few general rules

      • Our insteps would be considered generous
      • All shoes with 6 eyelets will be even more generous in the instep
      • Any model in full suede will feel more generous to its leather counterpart
      • The boots have a forgiving instep in order for you to put them on easily
      • Any monkstrap made on the MGF or LPB will feel more generous to its oxford counterpart
      • If you wear your oxfords very snug, then size up for your loafers. However, for most we recommend taking the same size as your oxfords

Could not be happier with my purchase. This is the third addition to my J. Fitzpatrick collection. All previous attempts to find Chelsea boots from other companies was a failure. Justin was extremely helpful in helping me with sizing recommendations and the look/fit/feel couldn’t be any more impressive.

As expected always from Fitzpatrick shoes, they were elegantly made and very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
