Note from the founder

While wanting to offer a traditional 'brogued Adelaide oxford' but not wanting it to look monotonous, as was so common, I created the Sunnyside to stand apart. I did so by changing the lines the the facing piece and the heel counter. You cannot really change a straight cap, so I didn't try to. To take it one step further, I made the facing piece decorative, whereas the traditional Adelaide is actually defined by having the facing piece a separate, often sunken pattern piece.

The choice of our beautiful Marble Patina finish further distinguishes the Sunnyside from the more conventional Adelaide oxfords commonly found among welted dress shoe brands.

I believe these thoughtful design choices result in an Adelaide Oxford that honors tradition while offering a unique and refined aesthetic.

what the style is:

Cap Toe Oxford

The cap toe oxford is the elegant shoe par excellence, identified by the "cap" across the front of the toebox, as well as its closed-lace construction. It is ideal for business and formal settings, while remaining a handsome option for dressing up denim. The Sunnyside is also a pseudo-adelaide: Note that the adelaide piece which framing the laces is not a separate piece of leather, but is only made to appear so by stitching.

MGF Last

The MGF is our chisel last. A chisel toe is the shape of choice for smart shoes, with its sharp lines resulting in an unrivaled professional and elegant style.
The MGF is our most generous fitting last, ideal for broad feet:
-Generous all-around fit
-Voluminous instep
-Labeled as UK 'E' width (US 'D' equivalent). However, being generous it is closer to a US D/E fit, falling between the two.
-Elongated last shape

Leather Sole (Closed Channel)

Single leather soles are our most handsome sole option. A subtle profile combines with tastefully pitched heels, beveled waists, and closed-channel stitching to ensure an elegant look, while seven brass nails in the toe improve longevity.

size guidance

The Sunnyside, on the MGF Last, is a generous and elongated fitting oxford. If you wear slender lasts, you will wish to size down. If you wear more generous fitting lasts, often found in Italian brands or on other chisel lasts, stick with your typical size. If you are a standard fit, it will be up to you to decide if you prefer a little more room or a snugger fit. If more room, stick to the same size, if more snug, size down.

Most people stick to their standard size.
